Sandy Velenosi
Sandy Velenosi has been the On-Ice Director for Velenosi Power Skating and Hockey Development for 16 years. Sandy has built a reputation as one of the leaders in skill development in Ontario. He has instructed thousands of hockey players in the Hamilton and surrounding Regions. He joins the National Hockey Institute as the Director of Skill Development. Sandy will work primarily with players who require the building of a strong foundation of all hockey skills. He will evaluate players on their needs and build a program that will allow them maximum opportunity to improve on their overall skill development.
Sandy instructs all levels of hockey players from Hockey School to Pro, teaching private, groups, teams and organizations throughout the area. He has travelled to Dubai and Abu Dhabi to instruct youth from all over the world and has been the Director of Skating for the Carolina Hurricanes Hockey Camps and has an excellent testimonial from Head coach Paul Maurice.
Sandy surpasses many instructors since he has the capability to teach, perform and demonstrate his own innovative skating skills, stick handling, and hockey techniques, for both forwards and defencemen.
Sandy is known for his great rapport with his students and parents. He believes in teaching skills that will make a player’s hockey development both a fun and learning experience for all ages and levels.
